Call to Worship: God Gathers His Church

– Santo, Santo, Santo / Holy, Holy, Holy

The heavens declare the glory of God,
    and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.
Day to day pours out speech,
    and night to night reveals knowledge.
The law of the Lord is perfect,
    reviving the soul;
the testimony of the Lord is sure,
    making wise the simple;
the precepts of the Lord are right,
    rejoicing the heart;
the commandment of the Lord is pure,
    enlightening the eyes;
the fear of the Lord is clean,
    enduring forever;
the rules of the Lord are true,
    and righteous altogether.
More to be desired are they than gold,
    even much fine gold;
sweeter also than honey
    and drippings of the honeycomb.
Moreover, by them is your servant warned;
    in keeping them there is great reward. Psalm 19

    más que mucho oro refinado;
son más dulces que la miel,
    la miel que destila del panal.
Por ellas queda advertido tu siervo;
    quien las obedece recibe una gran recompensa. Salmo 19

Confession of Sins: God Forgives His People

– Come Ye Sinners

Minister: Brothers and sisters, let us humbly confess our sins to God.

Ministro:  Hermano y hermanas, que confesemos nuestros pecados a Dios.

C: Who can discern his errors?
   Declare me innocent from hidden faults.
Keep back your servant also from presumptuous sins;

    let them not have dominion over me!
Then I shall be blameless,

    and innocent of great transgression.
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart

    be acceptable in your sight,
    O Lord, my rock and my redeemer. Psalm 19

    ¡Perdóname aquellos de los que no estoy consciente!
Libra, además, a tu siervo de pecar a sabiendas;

    no permitas que tales pecados me dominen.
Así estaré libre de culpa

    y de multiplicar mis pecados.
Sean, pues, aceptables ante ti

    mis palabras y mis pensamientos,
    oh Señor, roca mía y redentor mío. Salmo 19

Silent prayer/Orar en silencio

Assurance of Pardon / Seguridad de Perdón –

M: Jesus himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed. For you were straying like sheep, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls. 1 Peter 2:24-25

1 Ped 2:24-25

Consecration: God Equips His Church

Scripture Reading — John 10:7-16, 27-30

So Jesus again said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep.All who came before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them. I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. He who is a hired hand and not a shepherd, who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees, and the wolf snatches them and scatters them. He flees because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep. I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me, just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep. And I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them also, and they will listen to my voice. So there will be one flock, one shepherd . . . My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.”

Collect. Give us grace, O Lord, to answer readily the call of our Savior Jesus Christ and proclaim to all people the Good News of his salvation, that we and the whole world may
perceive the glory of his marvelous works; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

Sermon — Psalm 23

The Lord is my shepherd:
I shall not want.
    He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters.
    He restores my soul.
He leads me in paths of righteousness
    for his name’s sake.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
    I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
    your rod and your staff,
    they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me
    in the presence of my enemies;
you anoint my head with oil;
    my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
    all the days of my life,
and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord
    forever.

Confession of Faith: God Saves His Church

Congregation Recites – The Apostles’ Creed

I believe in God the Father,
Almighty Maker of heaven and earth,
and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord:
Who was conceived of the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried.
He descended into death.
The third day He arose again from the dead.
He ascended into heaven,
and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty,
whence He shall come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and life everlasting.
Amen

Communion: God Nourishes His People

The Lord’s Supper is for all baptized believers in good standing with an evangelical Church.

Words of Institution  / Palabras de Institución – 1 Cor. 11:23-26

For I received from the Lord what I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night when he was betrayed took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, “This is my body, which is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way, also he took the cup, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.”

For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.

Thanks be to God for his inexpressible gift!

May the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ strengthen and preserve you steadfast in the true faith unto everlasting life. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
