Call to Worship | God Gathers His Church
Welcome, Scripture Reading, and Prayers
You have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to innumerable angels in festal gathering, and to the assembly of the firstborn who are enrolled in heaven, and to God, the judge of all, and to the spirits of the righteous made perfect, and to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant…Therefore, let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire. Heb 12:22-24, 28-29
Lord’s Prayer / El Padre Nuestro
Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name.
Your kingdom come, your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For yours is the kingdom
and the power and the glory forever.
Padre nuestro que estás en el cielo,
santificado sea tu nombre.
mas líbranos del mal;

Confession of Sins | God Forgives His Church
Minister: Brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the holy places by the blood of Jesus, let us draw near and humbly confess our sins to God. (Be seated)
(Sentados)
C: O Lord, we confess that your law is holy and righteous and good. But sin produced death in us through the law, in order that sin might be shown to be sinful beyond measure. We do not understand our own attitudes and actions. For we do not do what we want, but we do the very things we hate. We do not delight in in your law as we ought, rather we disregard it or even despise it. The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. We act like debtors to to the flesh, and not to the Spirit. If we live according to the flesh we will die, but if by the Spirit we mortify the deeds of the flesh, we will live. Forgive our sins, and help us, O God, to live by the law of the Spirit of life, who has set us free from the law of sin and death in Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior. Amen.
No entendemos nuestras propias actitudes y acciones.
Assurance of Pardon / Seguridad de Perdón –
M: According to the gospel of God’s grace, there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death.

Scripture Reading and Prayer – 2 Corinthians 3:4-18
Such is the confidence that we have through Christ toward God. Not that we are sufficient in ourselves to claim anything as coming from us, but our sufficiency is from God, who has made us sufficient to be ministers of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit. For the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life. Now if the ministry of death, carved in letters on stone, came with such glory that the Israelites could not gaze at Moses’ face because of its glory, which was being brought to an end, will not the ministry of the Spirit have even more glory? For if there was glory in the ministry of condemnation, the ministry of righteousness must far exceed it in glory. Indeed, in this case, what once had glory has come to have no glory at all, because of the glory that surpasses it. For if what was being brought to an end came with glory, much more will what is permanent have glory. Since we have such a hope, we are very bold, not like Moses, who would put a veil over his face so that the Israelites might not gaze at the outcome of what was being brought to an end. But their minds were hardened. For to this day, when they read the old covenant, that same veil remains unlifted, because only through Christ is it taken away. Yes, to this day whenever Moses is read a veil lies over their hearts. But when one turns to the Lord, the veil is removed. Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.
Collect: Almighty God, to truly know you is everlasting life: Grant us so perfectly to know your Son Jesus Christ to be the way, the truth, and the life, that we may steadfastly follow his steps in the way that leads to eternal life; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen
Sermon: God’s Promise to Reconcile His People in Christ – Exodus 19:1-12
On the third new moon after the people of Israel had gone out of the land of Egypt, on that day they came into the wilderness of Sinai.They set out from Rephidim and came into the wilderness of Sinai, and they encamped in the wilderness. There Israel encamped before the mountain, while Moses went up to God. The Lord called to him out of the mountain, saying, “Thus you shall say to the house of Jacob, and tell the people of Israel: ‘You yourselves have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles’ wings and brought you to myself. Now therefore, if you will indeed obey my voice and keep my covenant, you shall be my treasured possession among all peoples, for all the earth is mine; and you shall be to me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are the words that you shall speak to the people of Israel.” So Moses came and called the elders of the people and set before them all these words that the Lord had commanded him. All the people answered together and said, “All that the Lord has spoken we will do.” And Moses reported the words of the people to the Lord.And the Lord said to Moses, “Behold, I am coming to you in a thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with you, and may also believe you forever.” When Moses told the words of the people to the Lord, the Lord said to Moses, “Go to the people and consecrate them today and tomorrow, and let them wash their garments and be ready for the third day. For on the third day the Lord will come down on Mount Sinai in the sight of all the people. And you shall set limits for the people all around, saying, ‘Take care not to go up into the mountain or touch the edge of it. Whoever touches the mountain shall be put to death.
– In Christ Alone**
Baptism is a sacrament of the new covenant, ordained by Jesus Christ (Matt 28:19; Mark 16:16), not only for the solemn admission of the person baptized into the visible church (1 Cor 12:13; Gal 3:27-28); but also, to be unto him a sign and seal of the covenant of grace (Rom 4:11; Col 2:11-12), of his ingrafting into Christ (Gal 3:27; Rom 6:5), of regeneration (John 3:5†; Tit 3:5), of remission of sins (Mark 1:4; Acts 2:38†; 22:16), and of his giving up unto God, through Jesus Christ, to walk in newness of life (Rom 6:3-4). Which sacrament is, by Christ’s own appointment, to be continued in his church until the end of the world (Matt 28:19-20). (WCF 28.1)
Congregation Reads – The Apostles’ Creed
I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
Maker of heaven and earth,
and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord:
Who was conceived of the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried.
He descended into death;
The third day He arose again from the dead.
He ascended into heaven
and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty,
whence He shall come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and life everlasting.

Words of Institution — 1 Cor. 11:23-26
The Lord Jesus Christ on the night when he was betrayed took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, “This is my body, which is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.”
In the same way also he took the cup, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.”
For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.
Thanks be to God for his inexpressible gift!
Offerings and Thanksgiving / Ofrendas e Acción de Gracias –
Two things I ask of you;
deny them not to me before I die:
Remove far from me falsehood and lying;
give me neither poverty nor riches;
feed me with the food that is needful for me,
lest I be full and deny you
and say, “Who is the Lord?”
or lest I be poor and steal
and profane the name of my God. (Pro 30:7-9)
»Sólo dos cosas te pido, Señor;
Aleja de mí la falsedad y la mentira;
no me des pobreza ni riquezas
sino sólo el pan de cada día.
Porque teniendo mucho, podría desconocerte
y decir: “¿Y quién es el Señor?”
Y teniendo poco, podría llegar a robar
COMMISSION | God Sends His Church
Missional Benediction / Bendición Misional
Owe no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law. For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet,” and any other commandment, are summed up in this word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.
M: May God be gracious to us and bless us
and make his face to shine upon us, Selah
that your way may be known on earth,
your saving power among all nations.
C: Let the peoples praise you, O God;
let all the peoples praise you! Psalm 67:1-3
M: Dios nos tenga compasión y nos bendiga;
C: Que te alaben, oh Dios, los pueblos;
que todos los pueblos te alaben.
