Prayer for the Church / Oracion por la Iglesia
O God, we pray for Christ Covenant Church, that she may walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him in every way: being strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy; giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in light. He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. (Col. 1:11-14)

Scripture Reading and Prayers / Lectura y Oracion – Psalm / Salmo 128
Blessed is everyone who fears the Lord,
who walks in his ways!
You shall eat the fruit of the labor of your hands;
you shall be blessed, and it shall be well with you.
Your wife will be like a fruitful vine
within your house;
your children will be like olive shoots
around your table.
Behold, thus shall the man be blessed
who fears the Lord.
The Lord bless you from Zion!
May you see the prosperity of Jerusalem
all the days of your life!
May you see your children’s children!
Peace be upon Israel!
Dichosos todos los que temen al Señor,
los que van por sus caminos.
Lo que ganes con tus manos, eso comerás;
gozarás de dicha y prosperidad.
En el seno de tu hogar,
tu esposa será como vid llena de uvas;
Lord’s Prayer / El Padre Nuestro
Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name.
Your kingdom come, your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For yours is the kingdom
and the power and the glory forever.
Padre nuestro que estás en el cielo,
santificado sea tu nombre.
mas líbranos del mal;

Confession of Sins | God Forgives His Church
Minister: Brothers and sisters, if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (Be seated)
(Sentados)
C: Father eternal, giver of light and grace, we have sinned against you and against our neighbor, in thought, word, and deed, through ignorance, through weakness, through our own deliberate fault. We have wounded your love and marred your image in us. We are ashamed and sorry, and we repent of all our sins. For the sake of your Son Jesus Christ, who died for us, we humbly ask you to forgive us all that is past; and lead us out from darkness to walk as children of light. Amen.
Assurance of Pardon / Seguridad de Perdón –
M: Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of your evil behavior. But now he has reconciledyou by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation— if you continue in the faith, stable and steadfast, not shifting from the hope of the gospel. Col. 1:21-23
Lift up your hearts and worship the Lord.
Alzen sus corzones y adoren al Señor.

Scripture Reading and Prayer – Genesis 2:15-25
The Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to work it and keep it. And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, “You may surely eat of every tree of the garden, but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.”
Then the Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.” Now out of the ground the Lord God had formed every beast of the field and every bird of the heavens and brought them to the man to see what he would call them. And whatever the man called every living creature, that was its name. The man gave names to all livestock and to the birds of the heavens and to every beast of the field. But for Adam there was not found a helper fit for him. So the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and while he slept took one of his ribs and closed up its place with flesh. And the rib that the Lord God had taken from the man he made into a woman and brought her to the man. Then the man said,
“This at last is bone of my bones
and flesh of my flesh;
she shall be called Woman,
because she was taken out of Man.”
Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. And the man and his wife were both naked and were not ashamed.
Collect: O God, who before the passion of your only-begotten Son revealed his glory upon the holy mountain: Grant to us that we, beholding by faith the light of his countenance, may be strengthened to bear our cross, and be changed into his likeness from glory to glory; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
Sermon: Rules for Husbands / Colossians 3:11-17, 19
Here there is no Gentile or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all. Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him…Husbands, love your wives, and do not be harsh with them.
Pastoral Prayer —
Let us fall down before the majesty of Christ and seek grace to help us in our need:
O gracious Father, you have adopted us into your family in love and made us your sons and daughters. In wisdom you have given us household rules that we may know how to live and move and act in your family. O loving Christ our Lord, you have blazed the trail for us and show us the way to carry your cross and love our wives with gentleness. O Holy Spirit, you have come to dwell in us and conform us to the image of Christ and seal us for the day of redemption. Bear your fruit in us that we may have the love we need to love our wives according to your love not our lusts. Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. Love always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. Our spirit is willing, but our flesh is weak. O God, grant us the grace to obey your word from the heart. Amen

Confession of Faith
Congregation Reads – The Apostles’ Creed
I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
Maker of heaven and earth,
and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord:
Who was conceived of the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried.
He descended into death;
The third day He arose again from the dead.
He ascended into heaven
and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty,
whence He shall come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy *catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and life everlasting.

Communion | God Nourishes His Church
The Lord’s Supper is for to all baptized believers in good standing with an evangelical Church.
Words of Institution — 1 Cor. 11:23-26
The Lord Jesus on the night when he was betrayed took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, “This is my body, which is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.”
In the same way also he took the cup, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.”
Reflection / Reflexion – Colossians / Colosense 2:11-12
In Christ you were circumcised with a circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ [the crucifixion], having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through the faithfulness of the working of God of raising Jesus from the dead.
As you received Christ Jesus as Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with gratitude. Col. 2:6
Offerings and Thanksgiving / Ofrendas e Acción de Gracias – Psalm / Salmo 51:16-17
You will not delight in sacrifice, or I would give it;
you will not be pleased with a burnt offering.
The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit;
a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.
Tú no te deleitas en los sacrificios
ni te complacen los holocaustos;
de lo contrario, te los ofrecería.
El sacrificio que te agrada
es un espíritu quebrantado;
tú, oh Dios, no desprecias
al corazón quebrantado y arrepentido.
