Call to Worship | God Gathers His Church
Scripture Reading and Prayers / Lectura y Oracion – Psalm / Salmo 103
Bless the Lord, O my soul,
and all that is within me,
bless his holy name!
Bless the Lord, O my soul,
and forget not all his benefits,
who forgives all your iniquity,
who heals all your diseases,
who redeems your life from the pit,
who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy
The Lord is merciful and gracious,
slow to anger and abounding
in steadfast love.
He does not deal with us according to our sins,
nor repay us according to our iniquities.
As far as the east is from the west,
so far does he remove our transgressions from us.
As a father shows compassion to his children,
so the Lord shows compassion to those who fear him.
Alaba, alma mía, al Señor;
alabe todo mi ser su santo nombre.
Alaba, alma mía, al Señor,
y no olvides ninguno de sus beneficios.
Él perdona todos tus pecados
y sana todas tus dolencias;
Lord’s Prayer / El Padre Nuestro
Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name.
Your kingdom come, your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For yours is the kingdom
and the power and the glory forever.
Padre nuestro que estás en el cielo,
santificado sea tu nombre.
mas líbranos del mal;

Confession of Sins | God Forgives His Church
Minister: Brothers and sisters, if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (Be seated)
(Sentados)
C: When I kept silent, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long. For day and night your hand was heavy upon me; my strength was dried up as by the heat of summer. I acknowledged my sin to you, and I did not cover my iniquity; I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,” and you forgave the iniquity of my sin. Therefore let everyone who is godly offer prayer to you at a time when you may be found; surely in the rush of great waters, they shall not reach him. You are a hiding place for me; you preserve me from trouble; you surround me with shouts of deliverance. (Ps. 32)
(Sal. 32)
Silent prayer / Orar en silencio
Assurance of Pardon / Seguridad de Perdón –
M: God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.
Lift up your hearts and worship the Lord.
Alzen sus corzones y adoren al Señor.

Scripture Reading and Prayer – Luke 9:43-55
Jesus said to his disciples, “Let these words sink into your ears: The Son of Man is about to be delivered into the hands of men.” But they did not understand this saying, and it was concealed from them, so that they might not perceive it. And they were afraid to ask him about this saying. An argument arose among them as to which of them was the greatest. But Jesus, knowing the reasoning of their hearts, took a child and put him by his side and said to them, “Whoever receives this child in my name receives me, and whoever receives me receives him who sent me. For he who is least among you all is the one who is great.” John answered, “Master, we saw someone casting out demons in your name, and we tried to stop him, because he does not follow with us.” But Jesus said to him, “Do not stop him, for the one who is not against you is for you.” When the days drew near for him to be taken up, he set his face to go to Jerusalem. And he sent messengers ahead of him, who went and entered a village of the Samaritans, to make preparations for him. But the people did not receive him, because his face was set toward Jerusalem. And when his disciples James and John saw it, they said, “Lord, do you want us to tell fire to come down from heaven and consume them?” But he turned and rebuked them.
Collect: Almighty and everlasting God, whose will it is to restore all things in your beloved Son, the King of kings and Lord of lords: Mercifully grant that the peoples of the earth, divided and enslaved by sin, may be freed and brought together under his most gracious rule; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen. (Proper 29)
Sermon: Jonah 4
But it displeased Jonah exceedingly, and he was angry. And he prayed to the Lord and said, “O Lord, is not this what I said when I was yet in my country? That is why I made haste to flee to Tarshish; for I knew that you are a gracious God and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love, and relenting from disaster. Therefore now, O Lord, please take my life from me, for it is better for me to die than to live.” And the Lord said, “Do you do well to be angry?” Jonah went out of the city and sat to the east of the city and made a booth for himself there. He sat under it in the shade, till he should see what would become of the city. Now the Lord God appointed a plant and made it come up over Jonah, that it might be a shade over his head, to save him from his discomfort. So Jonah was exceedingly glad because of the plant. But when dawn came up the next day, God appointed a worm that attacked the plant, so that it withered. When the sun rose, God appointed a scorching east wind, and the sun beat down on the head of Jonah so that he was faint. And he asked that he might die and said, “It is better for me to die than to live.” But God said to Jonah, “Do you do well to be angry for the plant?” And he said, “Yes, I do well to be angry, angry enough to die.” And the Lord said, “You pity the plant, for which you did not labor, nor did you make it grow, which came into being in a night and perished in a night. And should not I pity Nineveh, that great city, in which there are more than 120,000 persons who do not know their right hand from their left, and also much cattle?”
Pastoral Prayer – Almighty God, whose compassions fail not, and whose loving-kindness reaches unto the world’s end; We give you humble thanks for opening nations to the light of thy truth; for making paths in the deep waters and highways in the desert; and for planting Christ’s Church in all the earth. Grant that all people everywhere may seek after you and find you. Bring the nations into your Son’s Church. Grant unto us your servants a living and active faith that we may labor diligently to make known to all peoples the blessed gift of eternal life in Christ; who came to preach peace to them that are far off and to them that are near. All this we ask through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen (Based on BCP 1928 Prayers For Missions)

Confession of Faith
Congregation Reads – The Apostles’ Creed
I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
Maker of heaven and earth,
and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord:
Who was conceived of the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried.
He descended into death;
The third day He arose again from the dead.
He ascended into heaven
and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty,
whence He shall come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy *catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and life everlasting.

Communion | God Nourishes His Church
The Lord’s Supper is for to all baptized believers in good standing with an evangelical Church.
Words of Institution — 1 Cor. 11:23-26
The Lord Jesus on the night when he was betrayed took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, “This is my body, which is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.”
In the same way also he took the cup, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.”
As often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes. Thanks be to God for his inexpressible gift!
Offerings and Thanksgiving / Ofrendas e Acción de Gracias – Hag. 2:5-9
My Spirit remains in your midst. Fear not. For thus says the Lord of hosts: The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, declares the Lord of hosts. The latter glory of this house shall be greater than the former and in this place I will give peace, declares the Lord of hosts.
