Call to Worship: God Gathers His Church
– Holy is the Lord
Praise the Lord!
For it is good to sing praises to our God;
for it is pleasant, and a song of praise is fitting.
He heals the brokenhearted
and binds up their wounds.
He determines the number of the stars;
he gives to all of them their names.
Great is our Lord, and abundant in power;
his understanding is beyond measure.
The Lord lifts up the humble;
he casts the wicked to the ground.
Sing to the Lord with thanksgiving;
make melody to our God on the lyre!
His delight is not in the strength of the horse,
nor his pleasure in the legs of a man,
but the Lord takes pleasure in those who fear him,
in those who hope in his steadfast love.
Praise the Lord, O Jerusalem!
Praise your God, O Zion!
For he strengthens the bars of your gates;
he blesses your children within you.
He sends out his word, and melts them;
he makes his wind blow and the waters flow.
Praise the Lord! from Psalm 147
¡Aleluya! ¡Alabado sea el Señor!
¡Cuán bueno es cantar salmos a nuestro Dios,
cuán agradable y justo es alabarlo!
El Señor restaura a los abatidos
y cubre con vendas sus heridas.
Él determina el número de las estrellas
y a todas ellas les pone nombre.
Excelso es nuestro Señor, y grande su poder;
su entendimiento es infinito;
Canten al Señor con gratitud;
Alaba al Señor, Jerusalén;
alaba a tu Dios, oh Sión.
Pero envía su palabra y lo derrite;
¡Aleluya! ¡Alabado sea el Señor! Salmo 147
– Abide with Me
Confession of Sins | God Forgives His People
Minister: Brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the holy places by the blood of Jesus, let us draw near and humbly confess our sins to God.
C: We ourselves were once foolish, disobedient, led astray, slaves to various passions and pleasures, passing our days in malice and envy, hated by others and hating one another.
M: But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
Assurance of Pardon / Seguridad de Perdón
Minister: According to the promises of the new covenant, God will be merciful toward your iniquities and remember your sins no more. Stand and lift up your hearts in worship, trusting that the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all our sins.

Consecration: God Equips His Church
OT Scripture Reading – Ezekiel 36:16-30
The word of the Lord came to me: “Son of man, when the house of Israel lived in their own land, they defiled it by their ways and their deeds. Their ways before me were like the uncleanness of a woman in her menstrual impurity. So I poured out my wrath upon them for the blood that they had shed in the land, for the idols with which they had defiled it. I scattered them among the nations, and they were dispersed through the countries. In accordance with their ways and their deeds I judged them. But when they came to the nations, wherever they came, they profaned my holy name, in that people said of them, ‘These are the people of the Lord, and yet they had to go out of his land.’ But I had concern for my holy name, which the house of Israel had profaned among the nations to which they came. Therefore say to the house of Israel, Thus says the Lord God: It is not for your sake, O house of Israel, that I am about to act, but for the sake of my holy name, which you have profaned among the nations to which you came. And I will vindicate the holiness of my great name, which has been profaned among the nations, and which you have profaned among them. And the nations will know that I am the Lord, declares the Lord God, when through you I vindicate my holiness before their eyes. I will take you from the nations and gather you from all the countries and bring you into your own land. I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean from all your uncleannesses, and from all your idols I will cleanse you. And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to obey my rules. You shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers, and you shall be my people, and I will be your God. And I will deliver you from all your uncleannesses. And I will summon the grain and make it abundant and lay no famine upon you. I will make the fruit of the tree and the increase of the field abundant, that you may never again suffer the disgrace of famine among the nations.
Collect. O gracious Father, since it is of your great mercy that another day is added to our lives, we dedicate both our souls and our bodies to you and your service, in a sober, righteous, and godly life: in this spiritual resolution, confirm and strengthen us, O merciful God that, as we grow in age, we may grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen
Message: Born of Water and Spirit — John 2:23-3:12
Now when he was in Jerusalem at the Passover Feast, many believed in his name when they saw the signs that he was doing. But Jesus on his part did not entrust himself to them, because he knew all people and needed no one to bear witness about man, for he himself knew what was in man. Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. This man came to Jesus by night and said to him, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God, for no one can do these signs that you do unless God is with him.” Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Nicodemus said to him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?” Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.” Nicodemus said to him, “How can these things be?” Jesus answered him, “Are you the teacher of Israel and yet you do not understand these things? Truly, truly, I say to you, we speak of what we know, and bear witness to what we have seen, but you do not receive our testimony. If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how can you believe if I tell you heavenly things?

Confession of Faith: God Saves His Church
Congregation Recites – The Apostles’ Creed
I believe in God the Father,
Almighty Maker of heaven and earth,
and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord:
Who was conceived of the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried.
He descended into death;
The third day He arose again from the dead.
He ascended into heaven
and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty,
whence He shall come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy *catholic church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and life everlasting.
– Create in Me (Psalm 51)
Communion: God Nourishes His Church
If you are a baptized Christian, and you trust Jesus as your only hope for Salvation, and you are a member in good standing at any Christian church, then you are invited to eat and drink at the Lord’s table. Please hold the elements that we partake of them together.
Create in me a clean heart, O God,
and renew a right spirit within me.
Cast me not away from your presence,
and take not your Holy Spirit from me.
Restore to me the joy of your salvation,
and uphold me with a willing spirit.
O Lord, open my lips,
and my mouth will declare your praise.
For you will not delight in sacrifice, or I would give it;
you will not be pleased with a burnt offering.
The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit;
a broken and contrite heart, O God,
you will not despise. Psalm 51:10-12, 15-17
Devuélveme la alegría de tu salvación;
que un espíritu obediente me sostenga.
Abre, Señor, mis labios,
y mi boca proclamará tu alabanza.
Tú no te deleitas en los sacrificios
ni te complacen los holocaustos;
de lo contrario, te los ofrecería.
El sacrificio que te agrada
es un espíritu quebrantado;
tú, oh Dios, no desprecias
al corazón quebrantado y arrepentido. Salmo 51:10-12, 15-17
[ Interlude ]
Offering and Prayer of Thanksgiving / Ofrenda e Acción de Gracias —
By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers. But if anyone has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God’s love abide in him? Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth. 1 John 3:16-18
