– O God of Our Salvation

CALL TO WORSHIP | God Gathers His People –

Minister:  With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation. And you will say in that day:

“Give thanks to the LORD,
call upon his name,
make known his deeds among the peoples,
proclaim that his name is exalted.
“Sing praises to the LORD, for he has done gloriously;
let this be made known in all the earth.
Shout, and sing for joy, O inhabitant of Zion,
for great in your midst is the Holy One of Israel.”
(Isaiah 12:3-6 ESV)

«Alaben al Señor, invoquen su nombre;
den a conocer entre los pueblos sus obras;
proclamen la grandeza de su nombre.
Canten salmos al Señor, porque ha hecho maravillas;
¡Canta y grita de alegría, habitante de Sión;

CONFESSION OF SINS God Forgives His Church

 All Creatures of our God and King

Minister: Be seated, and let us humbly confess our sins unto Almighty God in silent prayers.

Ministro: Sentados, confesemos humildemente nuestros pecados a Dios Todopoderoso en silencio.

Minister: Blessed is the one whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man against whom the LORD counts no iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit. For when I kept silent, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long. I acknowledged my sin to you, and I did not cover my iniquity; I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the LORD,” and you forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah Therefore let everyone who is godly offer prayer to you at a time when you may be found; surely in the rush of great waters, they shall not reach him. You are a hiding place for me; you preserve me from trouble; you surround me with shouts of deliverance. Selah Many are the sorrows of the wicked, but steadfast love surrounds the one who trusts in the LORD. (Psalm 32:1-3, 5-6, 10-11)

Minister: Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, O righteous, and shout for joy, all you upright in heart!

CONSECRATION | God Equips His People

Scripture Reading – Isaiah 43:1-7

But now thus says the LORD, he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you. For I am the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior. I give Egypt as your ransom, Cush and Seba in exchange for you. Because you are precious in my eyes, and honored, and I love you, I give men in return for you, peoples in exchange for your life. Fear not, for I am with you; I will bring your offspring from the east, and from the west I will gather you. I will say to the north, Give up, and to the south, Do not withhold; bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the end of the earth, everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made.”

Collect. Almighty God, whose Son our Savior Jesus Christ is the light of the world: Grant that your people, illumined by your Word and Sacraments, may shine with the radiance of Christ’s glory, that he may be known, worshiped, and obeyed to the ends of the earth; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who with you and the Holy Spirit lives and reigns, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

Sermon: Watermarks – Titus 3:3-7

For we ourselves were once foolish, disobedient, led astray, slaves to various passions and pleasures, passing our days in malice and envy, hated by others and hating one another. But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

Pastoral Prayer – Based on Psalm 69

Save me, O God! For the waters have come up to my neck. I sink in deep mire, where there is no foothold; I have come into deep waters, and the flood sweeps over me. I am weary with my crying out; my throat is parched. My eyes grow dim with waiting for my God. Let not those who hope in you be put to shame through me, O Lord GOD of hosts; let not those who seek you be brought to dishonor through me, O God of Israel. But as for me, my prayer is to you, O LORD. At an acceptable time, O God, in the abundance of your steadfast love answer me in your saving faithfulness. Deliver me from sinking in the mire; let me be delivered from my enemies and from the deep waters. Let not the flood sweep over me, or the deep swallow me up, or the pit close its mouth over me. Answer me, O LORD, for your steadfast love is good; according to your abundant mercy, turn to me. Hide not your face from your servant; for I am in distress; make haste to answer me. Draw near to my soul, redeem me; ransom me because of my enemies!

CONFESSION | God Forgives His People

We believe there is one body, one Spirit,
one hope, one Lord,
one faith, one baptism,
one God and Father of all,
who is over all and through all and in all.
And grace was given to each one of us
according to the measure of Christ’s gift.
(Ephesians 4:4-7)

COMMUNION | God Nourishes His People

Scripture Reading and Prayer — 1 Corinthians / Corintios 12:12-13

For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—Jews or Greeks, slaves or free—and all were made to drink of one Spirit.

Offerings and Prayer of Thanksgiving / Ofrendas e Acción de Gracias — 2 Corinthians / Corintios 8:7-9

But as you excel in everything—in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in all earnestness, and in our love for you—see that you excel in this act of grace-giving also. I say this not as a command, but to prove by the earnestness of others that your love also is genuine. For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you by his poverty might become rich.

COMMISSION | God Sends His People

Benediction: May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
